Walk worthy

Colossians 1:10 (NKJV)
10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

It doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing..walk worthy!
It doesn’t matter what everyone else is saying..be the godly example wherever you are placed.
You may have to bite your tongue and pray daily for patience but do it for the sake of Christ’s name.

Don’t complain when the pressure piles up, instead ask for joy and a cheerful spirit to make your work light and to brighten those around you.
Don’t just lash out and retaliate when you think you are being treated unfairly. Pray for heavenly wisdom (God gives it generously) and let your words be “seasoned with salt”.

Keep striving for holiness and purity even when it seems like there is compromise all around you.
Be a giver, an encourager, even when it seems like many people are more interested in what they can get.
Keep on doing it!

Christ died and shed His precious blood so that we wouldn’t have to pay the consequences for our sin. He died so that we who were lost could be reconnected to the Father. He died so that we would have a new, wonderful and different way of life, not just another “menu option” to choose from.

So if you’re a woman, man, child teenager, whoever.. struggling with temptation, know you’re not alone! The bible says that everyday we’re all like sheep to the slaughter..but it also says that His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness is great. He will never let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

Stand strong in the freedom he has purchased for you. Don’t give up or give in and slide back to the old way. Remember that your sins have all been nailed to His cross and you also have been crucified with Christ and Christ is living in you! So keep up the good fight.

The world needs over comers. Christ is our champion and because of Him we know we too can overcome!
So be encouraged! Walk worthy of His shed blood and your high call as a child of God.
